I
O Lord my God when I in awesome wonder
consider all the worlds thy hands have made.
I see the stars I hear the rolling thunder
thy power throughout the universe displays.
II
And when I think that God his son not sparing
sent him to die I scarce can take it in.
That on the cross my burden gladly bearing
he bled and died to take away my sins.
III
When Christ shall come with shout of acclamation
and take me home what joy shall fill my heart.
Then I shall bow in humble adoration
and there proclaim, my God, how great thou art.
Chorus
Then sings my soul my savior God to thee
how great thou art, how great thou art.
Then sings my soul my savior God to thee
how great thou art, how great thou art.
